UG SPOT Round / Mid-Entry Registration & Guidelines

UG Spot Round 2026 will be a mixed round in which new registration will be allowed as Mid-Entry and they will be mixed with the existing applicants for allotment. Candidates interested in applying for admission in the UG Programs of the Banaras Hindu University through the SPOT Round should note the following:

Eligibility & Guidelines

1. The following candidates will be eligible to register in the Spot-round:
   1. Candidates who have not registered for BHU UG Counselling so far.
   2. Candidates who registered for the BHU UG Counselling process but -
      1. were not offered any seat during the regular round allotment (waitlisted).
      2. were offered seats but could not deposit the fee in stipulated time.
      3. deposited the admission fee but got their admissions withdrawal.
2. Action Required

   Applicants seeking admission in SPOT Round shall have to first register themselves on the Samarth Portal https://bhucuet.samarth.edu.in/ by paying the SPOT Registration fee of Rs. 1000.
3. Candidates already admitted in any regular rounds need not to withdraw for participating in Spot Rounds. They will be considered for allotment / upgrade based on their merit and vacancy in further Spot Rounds.
4. There will be no SPOT Round in courses having practical components i.e., BPA & BFA.
5. The vacant seat status for the Spot Round will be announced on 20.08.2026. Visit https://admission.bhu.ac.in for UG Spot Round Vacant Seat Status.
6. Candidates willing to participate in the SPOT round are advised to ensure themselves regarding the number of seats available in different programs and categories on the counseling portal before registration which is available on the admission tab of the BHU website.
7. Seats will be allotted according to the merit and other prevailing rules of the University/GoI against the vacancies shown on the portal for the SPOT round.
8. Cut off of the spot round will be incomparable from the regular rounds.
